Recreation A programme of social activities and regular entertainment is provided, with trips to places of local interest also being organized. Regular services are held by local clergy, and doctors, hairdresser, chiropodist and physiotherapist are some of the professionals who visit us regularly. We have a residents Meeting each month which is open to all residents and staff for general discussion and requests by residents, which includes discussions on entertainment and activities. Residents are encouraged to have their own plot of garden to tend with the help of our gardeners. Birthdays are turned into a celebration, and are announced in the newsletter. The church that is closest to Oldbury Grange Residential Nursing Home is the Chapel of St Nicholas at Aldeburie in the great parish of Morville, which was consecrated by Robert Bethune, Bishop of Hereford in the year 1138. A Norman font existed within the church until the 19th century. The church was rebuilt in the 19th century, when the bell of 1440 was hung in a new bell turret. The church has hardly altered since 1863, although the interior has received some embellishment. For further details of all places of worship in the area please visit www.hereford.anglican.org.
